I think that the A Link to the Past/Link's Awakening Link had the brown undershirt, not the white one. And no white tights.

True that. I think that's why they call it a deviation... ;)

I love how you don't just DRAW the hero of time in a cool pose, but you put him into an actual SCENE.
With awesome colors...

You can see Link has stuff such as a wallet for his rupees and a chest he must have found that he's using for storage.
Really cool.

Nevermind, I just saw the other one's description. This is really imaginative. I would love to see a temple like this in a Zelda game someday.

i've always found it weird that a lot of the dungeons in zelda are called temples. who would worship in these places? even without being infested by monsters, I'd feel weird if I had to climb a ladder, jump a few platforms, open a secret passageway, get a hookshot, and use it to get to youth group o.O

I'm looking hard for this article, but I remember reading an article from Nintendo that explained that the temples weren't actually for worship. The temples were tests for the monks (or other worshipers for certain places) of Hyrule to prove themselves long before they fell into disuse and became nests for monsters. If I remember correctly, the article used Ocarina of Time as an example. The temple was the test, the place of worship were the pedestal that you warp to, right outside the temples. I am looking for that article and I will post it here as soon as I find it.
