Links Awakening is one of the coolest Zelda games and for me one of the most mysterious.
I imagined that huge windfish just flying out of the clouds during a plane flight and this came out, I also added Link with his flying rooster which has been highly neglected in other games but oh well.

I havent read all the comments cause I ve already had some skyward spoilers but thanks to everyone

Also people I know its a whale, I watch animal planet too but its called the Windfish in the game and it flies and its hatched from a giant egg so lets not get too technical.
